Ann Beavers, 87, of Adrian, TX, died Friday, June 7, 2019.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2019, at Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Beavers was born January 22, 1932, in Panhandle, TX and was raised in Claude, TX by her father, Claude. She married “Brub” Beavers, on June 21, 1952. He preceded her in death.
She worked at various cafes all around Adrian as a waitress and cook most of her adult life. She also sold Avon, served as Justice of the Peace, 1979 to 1987, and worked as a hotel clerk, and a newspaper columnist.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Agnes Palmer Jones.
Survivors include two daughters, Scherrie Ward, of Adrian, TX, and Vickie Asbill and husband Mark, of Roy, UT; a son, Dewey Beavers and wife Kim of Azle, TX; grandchildren, David Ward of Borger, TX, Summer Asbill, of Roy, UT, Jorden Beavers of Azle, TX, and Jill Morrison, of Ft. Worth, TX; and great-grandchildren, Haley Ward, Wesley Ward, and Carson Ward, all of Borger, TX.
Viewing will be from noon to 6 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2019 and the family will be present from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home in Vega.
