Lucille Briscoe – May 9, 2012

Lucille Briscoe, 89, of Clovis, New Mexico, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 9, 2012.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., (MST), Saturday, May 12, 2012, in La Veta Cemetery in La Veta, Colorado with Lewis Heisch officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Briscoe was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Perryton, Texas to Linus and Ruby Taylor.  She loved to garden and do home canning which she shared with family and friends.  She was an excellent cook and homemaker.  One of her hobbies was fishing at Middle Creek.  She also quilted, crocheted and enjoyed listening to religious tapes.  Mrs. Briscoe was a member of The Apostolic Faith Church.  She faithfully read her Bible.
She was preceded in death by her husband, G.E. Briscoe; three grandsons; one brother; and five sisters.
Survivors include four daughters, Marjorie Breeding of Amarillo, Texas, Ruby Ervin and husband Ron of Irving, Texas, Marietta Heisch and husband Lewis and Loveta Briscoe, all of Clovis, New Mexico; a son, Michael Briscoe and wife Kim of Poncha Springs, Colorado; a sister, Pauline Erwin of Amarillo, Texas; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
