Louise Maness – October 1, 2012


Louise Maness, 82, formerly of Amarillo, died Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, in Arlington.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012, in Llano Cemetery with Jerry Davey officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Louise was born August 28, 1930, in Graham to Bon and Lena Nored.  She was the youngest of five children.  She met and married the love of her life Reg N. Maness in Big Spring on June 11, 1954.  After a move to Albuquerque, New Mexico they decided to make Amarillo their home.  They worked for Morehead Distributing for many years until retirement.
Louise and Reg always loved to travel.  One of their greatest joys was their 5th wheel trailor.  When Reg passed in 1998, Louise relocated to the Arlington area to be near family.
Louise was a member of Pleasant Valley Christian Church and the Rebekah Lodge.
She also was preceded in death by a son, James Lee Thomison in 2011.
Survivors include two daughters, Tamara Hall Slimak and husband Albert of Arlington and Donna Maness of Amarillo; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild
The family gives special thanks to the staff of the Serenity Inn for the love and care they showed Louise.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, at the funeral home.
