Lou Ella McDade Pitman-July 25, 2011

Lou Ella McDade Pitman, 93, formerly of Amarillo died on Monday, July 25, 2011 in Decatur, Texas.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Llano Cemetery with Reverend Roy Wheeler officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the First United Methodist Church in Decatur.
Lou Pitman was born August 29, 1917 in Dumas, Texas to Noel and Susie McDade.  She graduated from Dumas High School and West Texas State Teacher’s College in Canyon, Texas.  She married William Pitman on September 19, 1937.  They embarked on an adventurous life in the PetroChemical business getting a variety of experiences living in different states around the country.  They retired in Amarillo in 1980 where they were active members of Paramount Terrace Christian Church and part of the Northwest Texas Hospital Auxiliary.  Lou moved to Decatur, Texas in 2005 where she became a member of First United Methodist Church.  She was blessed with many friends and loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by brothers, Joe and Oliver McDade, her loving husband, Bill, and her Granddaughter, Jennifer Pitman Jason.
She is survived by her son, Richard Pitman and wife SanDee of Sunset; granddaughter, Amanda Lovette and husband Trent and two great grandsons, Ethan and Joshua Sij of Decatur and sister,  Jayne Giffin of Dumas.
