Lorene Eva Cobb – May 15, 2011

Lorene Eva Cobb, 90, of Amarillo died on Sunday, May 15, 2011.
Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011 at the Resthaven Cemetery in Lubbock with Danny Logan, Pastor of Bell Avenue Baptist Church officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Cobb was born on May 25, 1920 in Brazos, Texas to George and Bonnie Wagnon.  She married Vernon Houston Cobb in 1945 in Lubbock.  She had worked at the Amarillo Air Force Base, the Potter County tax office as a clerk and she retired from the Reese Air Force Base in the Department of Transportation of Household Goods.  Mrs. Cobb was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon in 1980 and two sons, Wendell Cobb and Harold Cobb.
Survivors include a son, George Cobb and wife Alice of Amarillo; a daughter-in-law, Catt Cobb of Albuquerque; a sister, Ernestine Payne of Quitaque; four grandchildren, Tyson, Vanessa, Brian, Jana and three great grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home, 1020 Tascosa Road, Amarillo, TX 79124.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday evening at the funeral home.
