Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 17, 2014, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Tom Mullins of Abundant Life Church in Dimmitt officiating. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Lois was born Feb. 6, 1943, in Duck Creek to Jessie and Laura Bradley. She was the seventh of 12 children. She married Ed Sooter on May 23, 1959, in Hugo, Okla. She had lived in Perryton from 1968 to 1982, then moved to Amarillo.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Sooter; two sons, Joe Sooter of Knoxville, Tenn., and Perry Sooter and wife Suzanne of Perryton; a daughter, Terry Cato and husband Russ of Amarillo; three brothers, Ralph, Merle and Bennie; three sisters, Elizabeth, Georgia May and Ruth Ann; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd, Amarillo, TX 79106; or Faith City Mission, 401 W. Second Ave., Amarillo, TX 79101-1511.
