Linda Teague – July 14, 2012


Linda Teague, 63, of Amarillo died Saturday, July 14, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at Washington Avenue Christian Church with Larry Capranica officiating.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Linda was born on July 27, 1948 in Amarillo to Catherine and Bill Loflin Sr.  She had worked at Owens Corning for more than 20 years and was a homemaker.
Linda married Stan Teague on Nov. 28, 1980, in Amarillo.
Linda was an incredible lady with an endless love for her family which included a special place in her heart for her grandchildren. She had a way of captivating her grandchildren’s attention by creating fascinating stories. Family gatherings, decorating, crafts, gardening, baking and shopping were some of her many passions. Of all of her wonderful qualities, she will be missed most for her great compassionate and loving heart.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Catherine Loflin; a brother, Billy John Loflin Jr.; and a sister, Rose Harley.
She is survived by her husband, Stan Teague of Amarillo; two daughters, Daphne Sanders of Amarillo; Carrie Gimpel and husband Dallas of Amarillo; three sons, Monty Ulibarri and wife Kara of Canyon Lake, Jason Teague and wife Mindy of Metuchen, New Jersey, Eric Teague and wife Shauna of Perth Amboy, New Jersey; her father, Bill Loflin Sr. of Amarillo; two sisters, Pat Needham and husband Bill of Amarillo and Brenda Wright and husband Cal of Levelland; and six grandchildren, Nathan, Nolan, Lindsie, Marlee, McKenzie and Jayden.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 2201 Civic Circle #514, Amarillo, TX 79109, or to the Don & Sybil Harrington Cancer Center, 1500 Wallace Blvd. Amarillo, TX 79106.
