Lillie Ellen Price-July 4, 2011

Lillie Ellen Price, 87, of Vega, TX died Monday, July 04, 2011.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Vega with Reverend Geary Martin, pastor officiating.  Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery at Vega.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers at Vega.
Mrs. Price was born on August 27, 1923 to Seth and Luella Funk in Adrian, Texas.  She married Wilburn “Wig” Price in 1942 at Santa Rosa, NM.  They were married for 69 years.  She graduated from Vega High School.
Mrs. Price belonged to first Baptist Church of Vega, Texas.  She lived in Amarillo, Texas 56 years where she taught Sunday School at Wesley Methodist Church.  She taught Vacation Bible School at Vega Baptist Church.
Mrs. Price worked at Sears, Fedway, Pantex, Amarillo Air force Base, Snow White Bakery, and retired as Floor Supervisor at Furrs Cafeteria.
Survivors include her husband, Wig; her sons, Tommy Price and his wife Marsha, Dennis Price and his wife, Maralyn; five grandsons, Beau Price, of Las Vegas, NV, Grant Price and his wife Tasha, Stephen Price, Austin Price and his wife Amber all of Amarillo  and Mark Price and his wife Megan of Grapevine, Texas. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Sirus, Kason, Jack, Weston, and Annalyn.
Viewing will be from noon to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers at Vega and the family suggests memorials be made to the First Baptist Church of Vega.

  2. My thoughts and prayers are with you all. It’s not an easy time. It’s been four years since I lost Dad and still miss him EVERY day.But all the memories make every day a blessing.
