Kory Sargent – March 31, 2011


Kory Sargent, 41, of Amarillo, died Thursday, March 31, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 6, 2011 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating.
Kory was born on July 5, 1969 in Lubbock to John W. and Tomye Sargent.   He owned and operated Aces Taxi service.   He was an avid golfer and was very involved with Alcoholics Anonymous.
Kory was preceded in death by his father and a sister, Kelli Jon Sargent.
He is survived by his mother, Tomye Sargent Rogers of Amarillo; a brother, Kim Sargent of Happy; a son, Andy Sargent of Amarillo; and his girlfriend, Amanda Lee of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be sent to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, 411 S. Fillmore, Amarillo, Texas 79101.

Having known you and since we were in 6th grade, always remember you ARE the very very best big brother anybody could have ever have, Kory and Kelli love you with all their hearts.   7. I have thought about you many, many days. I am a very honest and caring person. We never know why things go the way they do, sometimes they just do! Please keep your mind strong. If you need anything Tomye I am here for you. I don’t have a lot of money, but I do have a lot of love in my heart always.If you need a place to stay and rest, you are alays welcome to come to my home. There are a lot of good things I will remember about your son Kory. There are a lot of good things I will always remember about you too.

  8. To Miss Tomye, your son was one of the most loving souls I have ever met! He and I shared many cups of coffee at Hobbs along with laughs! He spoke of you and Amanda often and how much he loved her kids and his son! He loved you all very much! What a blessing to have known him!   9. I am so sorry for your loss. I meet Ace when I started working @ Toot N Totum and he would come in. I just loved the way he would always tip his hat when he came in. He was a very nice man.I will miss seeing him. RIP
