Kenneth Ray “Kenny” Hendrick was born in Houston, Texas on February 12, 1957, to Don and Jeanette Hendrick. Kenny gained his barbed wire halo on June 30, 2020.

Kenny was raised in Houston. In the late 70’s he went to California. In a diner there he met and instantly fell in love with his Terry. They married on February 27, 1978. After 42 years of marriage, she remains his “kiddo”. During their life together they raised two wonderful children and set an example of what it means to stand beside each other through thick and thin. He always had an unwavering loyalty to his family. Kenny would always be there with a word of advice and a helping hand- whether or not it was asked for. He loved being outdoors. He loved building and doing. He loved joking and laughing. He loved working and resting. He loved his family most of all. He loved his grandchildren of which he had 5. His face would light up with this awe at everything they were, at everything they could become. It was a true beauty. While he cannot take any worldly accomplishments with him his family remains as his biggest legacy.

Kenny was joyfully greeted in the afterlife by his momma, Jeanette, and his stepfather Joe. He will be missed here on earth by his Terry, his children, and their families and anyone that ever had the pleasure of making his acquaintance. There will be no services as per Kenny’s wishes.

  1. So sorry to hear about Kenny’s passing. I had never met him, but I knew Terry from the Clements Unit and I know her husband was so special to her. When they would talk on the phone because he would check on how she was feeling sometimes; I believe you could feel the love through the phone and in her smile and response to him. What a marvelous marriage to have and memories to remember. God be with you and your family.
