June Wilson, 81, of Amarillo, died Thursday, January 17, 2019.

Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 21st at Hillside Christian Church West Campus where she was an active member.

June was born in Wichita Falls, TX.  She moved to Amarillo in 1957 where she met and married Sam Wilson.  They were married for 42 years.  During that time, they traveled the world with family and friends.  Their favorite place to be was at their second home in Northern New Mexico.  In 1974, June and her business partner, Dee Ramirez, purchased Main Place, a local women’s clothing store, which they ran for 35 years.  Anyone who knew June, knew what an authentic person she was.  She had a servant’s heart and was dedicated to her church, family and friends.  She was graceful, kind and generous.  Funny!  And anyone that was blessed to work beside her knew she had true grit.

She is survived by two daughters, Toni and husband Dirk Hoover of Lyle, Washington and Laura and husband Andrew Stenhouse of Amarillo; a son, Samuel P. Wilson IV of Angel Fire, New Mexico; two grandchildren, Tiffany and husband Jason George and Tawney and husband Jon Smith; and five great-grandchildren, Kipton Smith, June George, Wylie Rose George, Hannah Smith and Abigail Smith.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to The Washington Street Family Service Center of Amarillo.
