  1. Johnny was a great lifelong friend. We always had a blast on our hunting and fishing trips of years past, and more recently, it has been such a blessing to be able to visit with him every week by phone. HE WILL BE TRULY MISSED!!! Our loving thoughts and prayers go out to his beloved family and friends.

  2. My favorite brother-in-law. He tolerated the Janak family in so many ways…always with love, understanding, and super good sense of humor. As I see him today, always close to my heart, is when he and Nita we’re dating…..he’d pick her up for a night of fun times. He’d wear a crisp white shirt, a thin black tie, his cardigan sweater, and smelt wonderful! Oh! Such a sweetheart, so tender… You are a very special good soul, Johnny Baer. You are loved, always been loved, and will always be loved. You are missed. ❤️ Dru Janak Monroe🙏🙏🙏🙏

  3. I knew Johnny best from reunions classes had together at times but I knew him as a kind, compassionate and caring gentleman. I cannot believe the number of those classmates who have passed away, I guess that means we are there in age where there are more and more. Grieve-as-you must, not-as-others say is right, wrong or indifferent. Cling to God’s unchanging and unfailing hand or love, He will not fail you ever. Wait for Him to pilot, not co-pilot. I have 17 years of doing just that and often have to remind myself of Isaiah 40:31, I love eagles because of that verse and have reminders all over my house in pictures, verses or whatever I have to stop and look at so I get back in the passenger seat and let him have the driver’s. God bless each of you. I have known Blake’s family all of his life and more through my aunt and his grandmother Bates. I graduated in 1959 but knew the younger ones like Johnny.

  4. This world has lost one of the most likeable and fun people, my Uncle! My hope remains that we will meet again, until then…..

  5. This world will miss his gentle and kind soul. The McFarlin girls lived 2 houses south of the Baer boys. Johnny and I played with his fabulous train set in his basement (I was 5 and he was 7) when asthma kept him inside. Then my sister Keri and Pete got into all kinds of mischief. Such good memories of great neighbors and lifelong friends. May you and your family take comfort knowing how loved Johnny was by so many.

  6. We are sorry for your loss . I knew him when I was a little girl and you all lived across the street from us growing up also my little sister rode back and forth to work with him at the prison for along time . She thought a lot of him too . Thinking of the family during this time. Brenda( Coffer) Reece & Carolyn Savely

  7. Sorry to hear about my very close friend passing. Will miss our conversations in the shop. Continuing in prayer for all the family.
