JoAnn Miller, 88, of Amarillo, TX, formerly of Canadian, TX, passed away on October 9, 2022.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Kingston Cemetery in Kingston, OK, with Joe Patterson officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Memorial services will be at Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Canadian, TX on October 22, 2022, at 11:00 A.M.
JoAnn was born in Russett, OK on June 8, 1934, to Alice and Melvin Weaver. She married Jesse Reese Miller on January 15, 1951.
JoAnn worked for Canadian Pharmacy Family Center for thirty years and was the manager there for twenty years. She was the church secretary for Abundant Life Assembly of God in Canadian and was on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce.
JoAnn was known for being a loving mother and grandmother. She was a caretaker to her family, friends, and anyone else who crossed her path. No one ever left her house hungry.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Reese Miller on November 25, 2008; her parents; her sister, Joyce; and daughter-in-law, Jana.
She is survived by her sons, James Miller, and Jesse Miller and wife Jade, both of Amarillo; grandchildren, Jennifer, Clint, Jaden, Jill, Haley, James, and Jackey; nine great-grandchildren; brother, Sherman Weaver, of Kingston, OK; sister, Janice Waymire and husband Andy, of Ardmore, OK; sister-in-law, Joyce Nunn and husband John, of Fort Worth, TX; and brother-in-law, Cecil Miller and wife Mohata, of Denison, TX.
