Joan Frances Tanner Inman, 86, of Amarillo, TX passed away at home on September 12, 2019.
Graveside services will be at 4:00 P.M. Monday, September 16, 2019 at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
She was born February 16, 1933 in McQueen, OK. She had been married to Jackie Harold Inman for 58 years. He passed on April 30, 2016. He had retired from Randall County Sheriff Department as a Sergeant in the Civil Division in 1996. She moved to Amarillo from Shamrock, TX shortly after marrying Jack in 1957 and she stayed at home raising her children and retired in 1999 from working as a seamstress for 30 years. She loved sewing, gardening, and her roses.
She was preceded in death by her Mom, John Faye Green, in 2001, Father, Ara Tanner in 1994, Step Father Joseph Arnold Knoll in 1962, and twin brothers John Drew Knoll in 1997 and Joe Frank Knoll in 1999.
She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Johnson, son Michael Inman, two grandsons: Randall Strickland and John Inman and wife Bre, one great granddaughter, Michaylee, and great grandson, Bryson. She also was survived by four sisters-in-law’s and a brother-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express special thanks to Amber Colpetzer and her family and Angela Sims, Leigh Diehl and Heather Winters with Open Heart Hospice for taking great care of our mother. There are no words to describe our gratitude. Due to prearranged funeral plans, there will be no viewing or services. She will be buried at Memory Gardens.
