Jessica Christine Hawkins-March 18, 2011

Jessica Christine Hawkins, 25, of Amarillo died on Saturday, March 19, 2011.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Dean Whaley, minister at Bell Avenue Church of Christ, officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Jessica was born on June 4, 1985 in Amarillo, Texas.  She went to the Amarillo School district and had worked in retail.
Survivors include her mother, Mykie Del Patterson McClellan and husband Brian of Dalhart; her father, Lloyd Glen Hawkins of Nevada; three sons, Gabriel, Jacob and Gage, all of the home; a brother, Ryan McClellan of Dalhart; her great grandfather, Lev Connor of Amarillo; her grandparents, Donna and Paul Henderson, Tommy and Martha Patterson, Faye and Roy Savage and Jerry Hawkins, all of Amarillo.
The family suggests memorials be made to Meals on Wheels, 219 S.W. 7th Ave., Amarillo, TX 79101, or to Olivia’s Angels in c/o BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.

  5. Mykie, My heart aches so much for you in this time. I know that there are no words that could ever comfort or fill the void caused by the loss of a loved one, especially a child. Please know that my prayers go out to you and your family.
    As for my brother, I know that JOEY would want you to know that no matter what he ALWAYS loved you and Jessica. I’m positive that he regrets not being able to grieve & share these feelings with you personally.

  7. Paul, I just also noticed this is your grandchild. What a beautiful girl. There is no words to help understand such a young loss but know God is your only stronghold through it.

  8. Martha, I just happened to read the obituary of this one so young. I have so many fond memories of our mothers in their dear friendship for so many years. I have grandchildren just about this age and just hurt so deeply for you. May God be ever close to each of you in this devastating time.
