  1. I was at a loss for words. I was just thinking about when I worked there, in the late ‘70s yo early ‘80s. Jerry was always a good friend and later in my years got to connect with him not long ago. Jerry & Kay both were very gracious.

  2. To Kay and the Family, you have my sincere condolences. I was once his Manager at the Paramount store, and I remember Jerry fondly. He was a good guy to me, and all these years later, I remember him well. My best to you all, and may all your memories be good ones.

  3. Sorry to hear about Jerry’s passing. I remember him as a kid, when our Dad’s store’s were across the street from each others. Later living in the same ‘Belmar’ neighborhood. In the 70’s, my, then, wife and I, had dinner with him and his, then, wife at the Royal Orleans hotel. So much fun. Didn’t realize he remained in Amarillo.

  4. This is January 6, 2021. I saw Kay today after many years. She told me that Jerry died last July. I immediately fell apart. I started working at Fefermans in 1976. I was terrified of Jerry. In a few months, I grew to love Jerry and Kay. I went to market with them twice in Dallas. They were awesome and beautiful people. They had a lot to do with my raising. Jerry tried really hard to talk me out of marrying my first husband, I should of listened because he was so right. I am so grateful that I knew him. I am totally heartbroken that I didn’t know he died. I would of been there, He and Kay were always there for me. I love you Jerry. Gina Hobbs

  6. Kay Pat and I were in high school together when I lived in Amarillo
and, of course, I knew Jerry as our families were friends. Kay, you had many years together and I was glad for both of you. Judy Rae and Donnie, losing a brother, no matter his age, is very hard. May the good memories sustain you in your loss. I hope in his crossing the river was kind.

  7. I knew Jerry for a long time and always enjoyed our conversations. We were members of several athletic clubs in Amarillo and often trained together in the boxing room. We joked about some day pitting our skills against each other in the ring. My, how would that have looked. I am so sorry for his loss.

May his memory be a blessing. Mr Feferman was well known for his philanthropy and work with Kids Inc. Some of my favorite memories are of visiting with him at Feferman’s Western Wear on several occasions and chitchatting while at Lake Tanglewood. The last time I saw him was from a distance as he sat watching the fireworks one year; he never seemed to age. May HaShem comfort you all among the mourners of Zion and Yerushalayim.
Until we meet again, Mr Feferman ….

  9. Jerry was a good, solid man. I was fortunate enough to have him as a Kids, Inc. coach in the mid 50’s. Good, sincere, caring, and focused. He put me on a good course. I’ll miss telling his smiling self hello. Blessings to all.

  10. I am so sorry to learn about your father’s passing. I only met him twice. But he was a very very kind man. I am sure you will miss him.
