Jennifer Elaine Salazar, 41, of Amarillo, TX received her wings July 2, 2019.

Rosary will be at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, July 11, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Jennifer was born on September 6, 1977 in Amarillo, TX. In her life, she raised five girls who she loved fiercely.

Jennifer graduated from Caprock High School in 1995 where she was involved with show choir, she loved to sing. Jennifer was a dedicated daughter, sister, cousin, and friend to all.

Jennifer graduated from West Texas A&M University with her RN in 2006 and later returned for her BSN. Throughout her career as a nurse, she worked for Texas Tech, NWTH and BSA. She loved caring for others.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Mary and Robert Salazar, Sr., of Amarillo, TX; and Isaias Mascareñas and Tillie Lucero, of Tucumcari, NM.

She is survived by her daughters, Destiny Ortiz, Mikayla Ortiz, Isabel Ruiz, Bobbie Ruiz, and Tawnna Ruiz, all of Amarillo, TX; her parents, Robert and Evelyn Salazar, Jr., of Amarillo, TX; her siblings, Thomas and Shawna Salazar, of San Antonio, TX, JoAnn and Robert Cormier, of Orange County, CA; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends.

Special thanks to all family, friends, and acquaintances of Jennifer. You are all greatly appreciated and loved.

Directly following the service, please join the family for a Celebration of Life at 406 S. Pittsburgh, Amarillo, TX. New Life – The Embassy. If you would like, please bring your favorite dish to share with the family.
