Jeanette “Janie” Kennedy, 89, passed away December 1, 2020, at her home in Amarillo, TX.

Services will be at 10:30 A.M., Saturday, December 5, 2020, in the Llano Cemetery Mausoleum. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Janie was born in Colorado, TX on October 9, 1931, to Darrell Elliott and Pauline McCollough Elliott and grew up in that part of TX.

She was the oldest of 4 children and was preceded in death by a sister, Jerry Patsene Elliott Dillivou, and 2 brothers, David Darrell Elliott and Stanley Paul Elliott.

She moved to Amarillo, TX when she was 19 years old.  She worked in various sales positions throughout her life.  She was a member of LakeRidge United Methodist Church in Lubbock, TX.

Janie married Bill Kennedy on March 2, 1973.  She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had a special love for her family and loved to laugh.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Kennedy of Amarillo, TX; her son, Rob Seale of Clarendon, TX; daughter, Cindy Flowers of Amarillo, TX; stepdaughter, Mary Butts of Vail, AZ; stepson, Jeff Kennedy of Lubbock, TX; along with 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
