Janice Yvonne Grant, 74, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 27, 2012 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Jeff Messer, chaplain at Bivins Foundation officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Grant was born Oct. 14, 1937 in Merkel to Herman and Mattie “Leafy” Light. Janice lived in California, Washington, Nevada and Montana before returning to Texas. She loved travelling, painting and never missed doing the daily crossword puzzle. She was also an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her three daughters, Teresa Cutty and husband Brad of Palmer, MA, Jamie Mena and Val Martinez of Sweetwater, and Tamie Autrey and husband Jimmy of White Oak, TX; twelve grandchildren, Cheyenne, Joshua, Brad Jr., Monique, Brandon, Meagan, April, Robin, Tino, Jeremy, Lacee, and Micah; twelve great-grandchildren, Veronica, Christian, Hazel, Taylor, Maddi, Robbie Jr., Kelcey, Jaden, Ayanna, Hilary, Jazlyn and Faith; a brother, James Light and Carol Farris of Arizona; and a sister, Wanda Sims and husband Jimmy of Amarillo.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to your favorite charity.
