Janice Frigo – September 23, 2013

Frigo Obit Janice Frigo, 58, of Amarillo, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013.

Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2013, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.  Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, in St. Mary’s Cathedral with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating.  Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Janice was born Feb. 18, 1955, in Amarillo, to Donald and Lucile Davis.  She graduated from Caprock High School and earned a bachelors and masters degree from West Texas A&M.  She married Dean Frigo on June 6, 1975 at St. Hyacinth’s in Amarillo.  Janice was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral.

Janice was a nurse practitioner and more than anything she enjoyed labor and delivery.  She felt like every day she worked there was a miracle.  She was well loved and appreciated by all of her patients.  Janice was an avid animal lover and opened her heart at every opportunity.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.  Janice was Dean’s best friend and soul mate and will be missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Dean Frigo, of Amarillo; three daughters, Caroline Frigo of Canyon and Shannon Schneider and husband John and Erin Frigo, all of Amarillo; a granddaughter, Madeline Faulkner; her father, Don Davis of Amarillo; a sister, Gail Henson of Amarillo.

The family suggests memorials be made to Amarillo Humane Society, 3501 S. Osage St., Amarillo, TX 79109; or to Amarillo SPCA, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119.
