James Richard Wallace – August 22, 2011


James Richard Wallace, 60, of Amarillo died on Monday, August 22, 2011.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at Amarillo South Church at 6901 Bell with Craig Albracht officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Richard was born on June 28, 1951 in Amarillo, Texas to James and Arlene Wallace.  He graduated from Amarillo High School and the University of Texas.  Richard was an avid outdoorsman and had a passion for camping and fishing.  He loved the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Rangers.  He was a member of Amarillo South Church and the Bass Club.  Richard had worked as a self employed contractor.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steve Wallace.
Survivors include his sister-in-law, Cindy Wallace of Amarillo; two nephews, James Wallace and Matt Wallace, both of Georgia and two special friends, Vicky Martin of Amarillo and Michelle Martin of Fort Worth.

  2. I remember when Richard was born. We were so happy to have such a fine boy living across the street from us. We were able to visit with him from time to time in later years, and when each of his parents passed away. Our sympathy to the family.
