James "Jim" Kuehne-May 25, 2011

James “Jim” Kuehne, 72, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, May 25, 2011.
Services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 27, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Jason Huntington, Pastor of River Road Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Jim was born on October 9, 1939 in Marfa, Texas.  He grew up in San Antonio, where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School.  Upon graduating, he proudly served his country in the U.S. Air Force, bringing him to Amarillo.  Many great friends were made while on the Amarillo Police Department Force.  He later retired from Asarco in 2001.
He met the love of his life, Pam Wilson Kuehne and married her in September of 1985.  He always wished they had married sooner in life.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Bea Kuehne and a sister, Allene Dorn.
Survivors include his loving wife, Pam; three daughters, Kim Haney and husband Roger, Kristin Bonner and Kelly Dompe and husband Tony; a son, Kyle Kuehne and John Linn; eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Sabree, Joey, Zachree, Jaetin, Payden, Joshua and Mayson; two nieces, two nephews and numerous great nieces and nephews.
