Jackie Restine – December 27, 2014

Restine Obit PicJackie Restine, grandmother to eighteen wonderful grandchildren, mother of six children, wife, and friend to uncountable people, died Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014.

Jackie was born in La Junta, Colorado and spent her early years in the Colorado Springs area.  Her maternal grandparents, Dorothy and Bucky Wilkins took her as an infant and raised her to be a beautiful and talented young lady.  Jackie married Jim Restine in Amarillo, Texas in 1967 and was a constant inspiration and support to him through forty-eight years of marriage.

She is survived by her husband, Jim; six children, Larry, Lana, Susan, Karl, Kurt and Julie, and their spouses; her beautiful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Rooney, her pound puppy; two sisters, Cathy and Nancy Horton.

  1. How many, many fond memories we have of Jackie. Such an impeccable hostess, gifted musician, and loving friend. Will always remember the sound of her quiet chuckle. She set the bar high for what it means to be a Christian lady who dealt with adversity and came out on top with equanimity, time and time again. May God bless your family as you deal with this huge loss.
