Jackie D. Collins, age 55, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 5, 2021, in Lubbock, TX.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, March 13, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

He was born December 29, 1965, in Amarillo to Elaine and Jack Collins. He was a 1984 graduate of Childress High School.

He married Tammie Collins on July 16, 1995. Duane truly loved life to the fullest through simple pleasures. Spending time with family and friends, putting a smile on his grandkids face every chance he got. Golfing, boating, and fishing were just a few of his many hobbies.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy; 2 daughters, Tiffany Ramirez and husband Caleb Ramirez of Amarillo, and Stephanie Elizardo and husband Aaron Elizardo of Lubbock; 2 sons, Cody Collins of Amarillo, and Cameron Collins of Lubbock; 3 grandsons, Malachi, Kane, and Nehemiah Ramirez; 2 granddaughters, Penelope and Ansley Elizardo; and brother, Doug Collins of Amarillo.

Family, friends, and others whose lives Duane touched are invited to Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79109, from 5-7 pm on Friday, March 12, 2021.

  1. Duane u was a one of a kind brother inlaw u made me see what being a man was about know one new but u was my all time hero and still are we did things people only dreamed of doin love u brother tell we meet again RIP love ur brother inlaw Kevin shelley

  2. I can’t remember a time not knowing Duane. He was always so nice to everyone he met. We had a lot of fun riding to many basketball games on the Bobcat bus. I really enjoyed seeing him at our last reunion. He was so proud of his family. He smiled from ear to ear talking about you all. I pray for comfort and peace for everyone. I know the days ahead will be hard. He will be missed.
