Iona June Wofford Dressler, 83, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, April 11, 2012.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 14, 2012 at San Jacinto Assembly of God, 400 N. Georgia, with Billy Snider, pastor, officiating. Private burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Dressler was born June 19, 1928, in Seminole, Oklahoma to Edgar and Rebecca Beesinger. She married Jame Doil Wofford in 1946. He preceded her in death in 1969. She married Erby Euzelle Dressler in 1971. He preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Dressler worked for BSA for 22 1/2 years. She also volunteered at BSA and the Host Program for AISD. As a child she attended Heald Methodist Church.
She also was preceded in death by 6 sisters and her parents.
Survivors include two sons, Danny Wofford and Sheila Herndon of Kingston, Oklahoma, and Ricky Wofford and wife Rhonda of Amarillo; two daughters, Kathy Jo Wofford and husband Shawn Hoffman of Casper, Wyoming, and Edda Hustead and husband Steve; three stepsons, Randy, Larry and Bobby Dressler; a sister, Betty Kidwell; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105; or to Bivins Memorial Nursing Home, 1001 Wallace Blvd., Amarillo, TX 79106.
