Howard C. Tow, 78, of Amarillo, TX went home to be with the Lord on April 6, 2021.

Services will be at 11:00 A.M., Friday, April 9, 2021, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Debra Huffman officiating. Burial will be a Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Howard was born in Amarillo, TX on October 22, 1942, to Myrza Bell and T.E. Tow. He owned and operated Tows Paint and Body. In the early years, you could find him hanging out with his friends at the shop. Howard was known to his family and friends as “The H”, but the titles he loved most were daddy, Papa, and Pops. He loved to restore antique cars and he built many awesome hot rods over the years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jenny Tow, on June 15, 2005.

Survivors include his daughters, Terri Dobbins and husband Mike, of Amarillo, TX; Franki Lee and husband James, of Amarillo, TX; sisters, LaVerne Tow, and Cloyce Armijo and husband Fidel, of Truth or Consequences, NM; brothers; Wiley Tow, of Amarillo, TX, and Leonard Tow, of Cabot, AR; grandchildren, Chelsea Smith and husband Nick, of Amarillo, TX, Keely Dobbins, of Amarillo, TX, Clinton Lee and wife Bailey, of Ft. Worth, TX, and Madisen Lee, of Amarillo, TX; and one great-grandchild, Talyon Smith.

  1. Dearest Terri and Frankie. I just learned of Uncle H’s death. Babies please know that i loved and honored him forever. I’m glad he’s with God and the angels. He was a great friend and uncle. I love you both and I’m here if you need me. Aunt Linda

  2. Howard you lead to Lord Jesus Christ when I was 16.I thank you and God for that. Howard thank you for teaching how to weld use a cutting torch.Ill always remember the laughs we had at the shop.Rest well my brother in the arms of the Lord.I will see you for supper.
