Not only was he an outstanding lab director, he was a wonderful person! I remember when he and Judy first started dating and eventually were married. I always thought they made a great couple! My/our sincere condolences to Judy and Alyson! RIP my friend!

  5. I worked with Fred for several years at the old NWTH on 7th St. I always enjoyed working with Fred, he was a lot of fun to be around. Fortunately, I was able to reconnect with Fred at the laboratory several years ago. I am so grateful for the times we spent together. God bless him and his family in these difficult times.

  6. So many wonderful memories over so many years! Art and I are blessed to have had you in our lives and we never would have if it weren’t for Judy and I working as pharmacists for Furrs’. Judy and I became friends, and then you and Art became friends and there started many years of so much fun! From New Orleans to Ruidoso, from lazy afternoons poolside to dancing the night away on New Years, from New Mexico cuisine to “gotcha glasses of beer”, from flea market finds to mall sales…..we did it all! I’ll never forget you, I’ll always miss you, and I thank you for being such a great friend. Until we meet again, smile down on us once in a while.
    Love you,

  8. Judy an Allison,
I met Fred shortly after I came to Amarillo near the end of 1977 at the old Northwest Texas Hospital. I was in private practice at that time and didn’t see him a great deal but when I needed something in the lab he was clearly the person to go to. I saw a lot more of Fred when I begin working at North West as the chief medical officer in the end of 1994. I worked with him until he retired, and when he retired he was clearly missed by all of us still working there. Please except my sincere condolences. I will continue to miss him and I know you and many others will as well. He was a very good person and a good friend.
