Frances Norene Crawford, 82, of Amarillo, died, September 6, 2011.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 9, 2011 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Glen Walton officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 10, 2011 in Holly Springs Cemetery, Holly Springs, Texas. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Crawford was born on November 22, 1928 in Amarillo to E.W. and Frankie Meyers. She graduated from Amarillo High School in 1947 and furthered her studies at Amarillo College. She worked at Amarillo Air Base, the V.A. Hospital, and retired from the Corp of Engineers in Tulsa, Okla. She married Smitty A.B. Crawford on August 14, 1959. They moved to Bixby, Okla., living there for thirty-five years and returning to Amarillo in 2006. Mrs. Crawford was a member of the North Heights Church of Christ in Bixby and Bell Avenue Church of Christ in Amarillo.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Smitty A.B. Crawford in May 2005; parents; and three siblings.
Survivors include her daughter, Ann Crawford Rawnsley; her boys, Brad, Scott, Gabe, Joe Mike, John and Paul; two gandsons, Jeff Rawnsley and Adam Crawford; one granddaughter, Katie Rawnsley; a niece, Francie Adamson; a cousin, Wanda Conard; her beloved special family friends, Barbara and Vernon Middleton and Jerry Askins; and those that loved her are too numerous to mention.
