Faustina Franco DeLeon, “Momo”, 71, of Amarillo, TX died Thursday, August 6, 2020.  Viewing will be at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 12th, 2020 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  Service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 13th, 2020, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel.

Faustina was born April 14, 1949, in Ojinaga Chihuahua, Mexico to Antonio and Carolina Franco.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, and homemaker.  She was raised on her family’s farm and at a young age she helped raise her younger siblings.  She continued the loving care she learned on that farm by raising four wonderful children and nine beautiful grandchildren as a single mother. A devoted homemaker, Faustina loved cooking and sewing for her family, cheering for her boys in sports events of every kind at Canyon High School, and she always kept her beloved daughter looking like a complete angel.

Another of Faustina’s passions was watching and screaming for the Dallas Cowboys.  Faustina loved listening to mariachi music by Vicente Fernandez.

She was a devoted Catholic and raised her children to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Survived by her sons, Ricky DeLeon and wife Cholie, Tony DeLeon and wife Tanya, and Adrian DeLeon and wife Jill, all of Amarillo, TX; a daughter, Teresa Gonzalez and husband Tony, of Big Spring, TX; sisters, Beatriz Franco and Elena Franco both of Lubbock, TX; and Elsa Jimenez, of Artesia, NM; a brother Silbino Franco, of Ojinaga, Mexico; and grandchildren, Gabrielle, Vanessa, Carmen, Talia, Sophia, Luke, Clark, Jonathan and wife Emily, and Anthony.  Faustina was preceded in death by parents Antonio and Carolina Franco, two brothers Nicolas Franco and Jesus Franco, and two sisters Moraima Franco and Sofia Pineda.

  2. I met Teresa’s Mother Faustina when she visited Teresa in Big Spring. I enjoyed our lunches with her when she visited Teresa, Tony, Jonathan and Anthony in Big Spring. She was a very pleasant and friendly lady. My prayers for Her and Her Family Members and Realatives.

  3. We are so heart broken for ALL of “MOMOS” family.. She was a very loving spunky lady and will be missed greatly. RIP little lady. Praying for strength and acceptance for all.

  5. I am so very sorry for your loss of your Mom, Grandmother, Sister, and Friend. I pray for strength for today and comfort for each day as you mourn your loss!   6. I am so sorry for your loss.
    I loved Faustina, she was always a source of joy. I remember fondly the special coffee we loved. She was a great listener and a faithful friend.
    She was always so proud of her kids. I hope you all are well. Know that she will always be with you, ever in your heart. God love you and bless you all.

  9. I’m hurting so much from a broken ❤️ Faustina was a friend I admired so much. I met her in 1990 and became really good friends with her. We hit it off instantly. She was like a mom to me. She’s now with our Heavenly Father and the Angel’s above. I will truly miss her. RIP MY DEAR FRIEND!!!! ☹️🙏
