Elma Tarin Ballin, 83, of Amarillo, died Saturday, May 21, 2011.
Rosary will be 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.  Mass will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at Our Lady of Guadalupe with Father Gomez officiating.  Burial will be at Llano Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mrs. Ballin was born in Alpine, Texas on March 25, 1928 to Roberto and Senaida Tarin.  She was a very loving housewife, mother, and grandmother.  She loved cooking, tending her garden, and taking care of everyone.  She was very active in the community and her church.  She will be dearly missed by everyone.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary; and brothers, Roberto Jr., and Lorenzo.
Survivors include her husband, Mike, of the home; daughters, Senaida Perez and husband Cesario of Albuquerque, NM, Lupe Herrera, Juanita Ballin, Rosie Diaz and husband Frank, all of Amarillo; sons, Miguel Ballin, Jr., Antonio Ballin and wife Ester, Joe Ballin, and Robert Ballin, all of Amarillo, TX; a sister, Gloria Watts of Amarillo, TX; sixteen grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren.
