Elizabeth “Lisa” Alarcon

Elizabeth “Lisa” Alarcon, 49, of Amarillo, TX died on September 13, 2019.

Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, September 18, 2019, at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery, 2800 Hayes St. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Lisa was born on May 19, 1970 to parents, Alfredo and Delia Alarcon in Dumas, Texas, but grew up in Amarillo. She is a graduate of Palo Duro High School and attended Tarrant County Community College in Fort Worth and North Texas University in Denton, Texas.

Lisa is survived by her daughter, Bridgett Valdez; her sons, Adrian Valdez and Aaron Dawson; her grandchildren, Isabella, Aiden, Lillianna; her parents; her brother Joe and sister-in-law Brandi Alarcon; her brother Mark Alarcon; and a long host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Gregorio and Eustacia Gabaldon and Pascual and Aldofina Alarcon.

Lisa was a beautiful, gentle, and loving woman. She professed her life to Jesus Christ and she loved her family dearly. To Lisa, her parents were her rock, her daughter and sons her trophies, and her grandchildren her pride and joy. Her strength and devotion was to love fearlessly and never give up hope. Her cheerful heart and courageous spirit always brought a smile to all who knew her. Laughter was her best medicine and bravery was her biggest attribute. She will be missed dearly by all her friends and family, and her legacy will carry on in all the hearts she impacted.

A rosary prayer service will be held at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home, 2800 Paramount Blvd., on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at 7:00 p.m.

  1. Lisa I love you prima. You have been such a wonderful person to me. You comfort me in my time of need and always gave me great words of encouragement. The whole family will greatfully miss you and your beautiful laughter. Thanks to the Lord that has given us a precious spirited person to have in the family. Love you dearly

  2. I’m so sadden by this news. I only met her a short while before. She seemed like a sweet caring person. My heart goes out to her family.
