Earl Hustead – June 24, 2011

Earl Hustead, 79, of Amarillo died on Friday, June 24, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at Cornerstone Church in Wheeler, Texas with Erron Mercer officiating.
Earl was born on January 4, 1932 to Francis and Ruby Hustead.  He married Betty Smith on January 24, 1952 in Crane, Texas and retired from Chevron Oil in 1985 in McLean.  He later attended Rhema Bible Training Center in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.  Earl then pastored and helped teach at the Wheeler Christian Academy.  He was still helping with church services at the Wheeler Nursing Home until becoming ill.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Hustead of Wheeler; a daughter, Loyce Masten and husband Eddie of Sanger, Texas; a son, Steven Hustead and wife Edda of Amarillo; two sisters, Nadine Andrew and Francenia Lingle both of Kerville, Texas; six grandchildren, John Parker and wife Heidi, Aaron Parker, Adam Parker, Lisa Hustead Grooms, Lacy Love and husband Jesse and Steven P. Hustead; two great grandchildren, Alyssa Love and Brigid Parker; many nieces, nephews and family and a host of friends who loved him and a very special pet, Mayc Gail.
The family suggests memorials be made to BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
