Dorsey “Gene” Miller, 73, of Amarillo, TX passed away November 22, 2020.

Gene was born in the small Texas Panhandle town of Wellington, the morning after Christmas December 26, 1946; the 7th and last son of Albert and Opal Miller.  Gene spent his childhood trying to keep up with his big brothers.  The family later moved to Chickasha where Gene attended school.  For most of his adult life, Gene lived in Amarillo where he owned and operated Miller’s Carpet and Tile and later Biker G’s.  Gene traveled thousands of miles across the United States on his beloved Harley Davidson Motorcycles with his many biker friends. When his health limited his trips on the motorcycles, He began Miller’s Car Transport service, which still gave him the opportunity to be on the open road. When not out on the road you could find Gene dancing the soles off his boots with the group at the VFW on 8th street.

In July of this year, Gene was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and he went to battle and battle he did, always with a positive attitude and a win-win spirit.  He was a bold and brave warrior until the end when with family at his side he peacefully and quietly left his home here to spend eternity with his Father in his Heavenly Home.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Opal Miller; his brothers, Thomas Miller, Jim and Carrie Miller, Pete Miller, PeeWee Miller, Charlie Miller, and Alton and Shirley Miller; and his grandson, Austin Janke.
