Dorothy Margaret Yeoryopulos Fritts, of Amarillo, died Thursday, April 26, 2012.
Services will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 4, 2012, at Pleasant Valley Christian Church, minister Hal Rogers will be officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mrs. Fritts was born April 14, 1925, in Detroit, Michigan to Mike Papas and Evelyn Dennis. She was married to Quentin Walter Fritts in Wellington, Texas in 1942. Quentin and her son Brian Charles Fritts preceded her in death. She lived in Amarillo all her life and thought there was no better place. She moved to Rio Rancho, NM to be close to her family. She was a true Texan, feisty, compassionate, a good listener, loving to all of her family, always willing to give a hug to everyone, willing to hear all sides of conversation, left everything in God’s hands and a friend to all who knew her. She believed that Judge Judy was the person to run our country.
Survivors include four sons, Larry and wife Faye, of Holly Hill, SC, Dennis and wife Sherry of Portage, MI, Glenn and wife Pamela of Rio Rancho, NM and Cody Fritts of Rio Rancho, NM; four grandchildren, Chuck and wife Teresa of Kennesau, GA, Tawnya Fritts of Rio Rancho, NM, Tiffany Scheller and husband Gary of Amarillo and Hollie Fritts of Portage, MI; nine great-grandchildren, Heather, Ashley F., Randy, Ashley G., Tierney (Kay), Talayna, Brayden, Layla, and Cayden; and three great-great-grandchildren, Annabella, Alexis, and Lauren, and one on the way.
Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012, and Friday, May 4, 2012, from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
