Dorothy Ellen Davis, 82, of Amarillo, died Monday, September 26, 2011.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 30, 2011 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd with Dr. G. A. Roach officiating.
Dorothy Williams Davis was born on February 24, 1929 in Auburn, West Virginia. She attended West Texas Formal College. Dorothy married Bill Davis on July 24, 1951. She was an accountant/bookkeeper for Cooper & Woodruff; and secretary for Armstrong County Museum in Claude where she lived for many years and retired. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and Daughters of Confederate States of America.
Dorothy was a loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Margaret Williams, a brother, Bob Williams, and sister, Mary Margaret Patton; and her husband, Bill Davis.
She is survived by three sons, John Davis and wife Kathy of Amarillo; Mike Davis and wife Joyce of Clarendon, TX and Billy Davis of Conway, Texas; grandchildren, Christopher Davis, Kyle Davis, Travis Davis, Callie Davis, Haley Davis and Maci Davis; step-grandchildren, Michael Zanchettin, Joshua Zanchettin and Brooke Rich; and four great-grandchildren.
