Doris Ann Reyman

Doris Ann Reyman, 87, of Amarillo, TX went to be with Jesus on Friday, March 27, 2020.

Graveside services for immediate family will be held at Llano Cemetery. Memorial services will be held at a later date due to the current health crisis. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.

Doris was born on July 20, 1932 in Center, TX to Dr. Newton J. Robison and Bennie Robison. She was raised in Raleigh, NC before her family moved to Amarillo, TX after she finished high school.

Doris married Tom E. Reyman in 1952. They had two children, Becky Slagle born in Carmel, CA, and Tony Reyman born in College Station, TX. Doris was a homemaker and then worked at RSM Builders Supply.

Doris was a member of First Christian Church. She was such a kind woman who was loved by everyone she met. Her comforting phrase was, “This too shall pass.”

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dr. Newton J. Robison and Bennie Robison; and son, Tony Reyman.

Doris is survived by her husband, Tom E. Reyman, of Amarillo; daughter, Becky Slagle and her husband James Slagle; three granddaughters, Shelley King and her husband Ken King, Melissa Clay and her husband Marcus Clay, and Rebekah Jones and her husband Tyson Jones, all of Amarillo; four great-grandchildren, Kristen and Kortlan Clay, and Joslyn and Jameson Jones; and her brother, Newton Robison and his son, Robby Robison, of Lubbock, TX.

  2. We loved Doris. We could stand on her front porch and talk forever on Saturday morning’s. Beautiful lady inside and out!!!

  3. Doris had so much spirit and a permanent fixture at RSM. She was a friend to everyone especially to my mom Barbara. My mom was blessed to be employed by the RSM Family. We love you all and please know how we are thinking of ya’ll and pray for peace through this hard time.

  4. I met Doris through her mother, Bennie, she loved her mom so much, even when Bennie said some outrageous comments. I loved Doris for her devotion to her mom and the kindness she showed to me. She stood by me at one of the lowest parts of my life. I will always love you Doris. Tommy you are in my prayers, as well as Becky and the 3 granddaughters. Love, Cheryl Walton.

  5. Doris was such a sweet, beautiful lady, inside and out! I am blessed to have so many memories of time spent with she, Tommy and my parents! She will be missed on Earth but is rejoicing in Heaven forever! I pray God’s comfort and peace be with you, Tom, Becky and family as you tread through this difficult time.
