  1. I have known Dennis since we were part of the 8 members in 8th grade at Skelly school. Still corresponded by email, we agreed politically and I enjoyed his political statements. Last time I saw him was at reunion of class of ’49 maybe 5 0r 6 years ago

  2. So sorry to hear this. We have been friends since 8th grade and still shared emails. Most recent email was him telling us Barbara was in nursing home. We shared political beliefs and I enjoyed hearing his thoughts about politics.

  3. I am so sad to hear of Dennis’ death. We were on Facebook and I hadn’t heard from him in awhile. I was Betty Norman and my sister Ruby Nell was his classmate of 1949 Dumas High School. We both knew Dennis and his family out at the Skelly School area. He married my classmate Barbara from Dumas High School. I loved to hear his mother play the piano! We had church services at the school on Sunday. He was such a really sweet person. I will miss the contact even though I haven’t seen him in awhile since I live in Austin. You have my sympathy, Betty Wood [email protected].

  4. My heart hurts for your family and all you ha e been through these past months. I know too well what it is like to lose a parent and sibling. I just pray that you can feel all the prayers that have been lifting you up. I am so sorry I won’t be there to add some support for you tomorrow but please know you are in my thoughts and prayers. Love y’all much.

  5. Sending our condolences to Barbara Nell, and the entire family. We love you dearly. Cousin Vicki (Barker) Estey & Dave Estey, Potomac Falls, VA.

  6. My Grandfather was an interesting man. He loved collecting and finding “treasures,” from local garage sales. He was a friend of the library in Amarillo as he loved learning and reading. One of the last things he said to me on the evening before he passed was, “education is pricy but try ignorance.” We will miss his laughter, his sense of humor, and his warm hugs.

  7. Dennis has been a part of our lives for 69 years. I was three when he married our sister Barbara. And Sandra was four We remember going to the park at Snead and he would swing us as high as he could. We resided at Cactus, Tx and when they came over we would be so thrilled. We loved going to Borger with them and they always bought us goodies. We do have some fond memories of Dennis.
