Delores Willene Martin, 85, of Amarillo, TX went to be with the Lord on December 10, 2020.

Services will be at 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, December 16, 2020, in the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Delores was born in Levelland, TX on February 9, 1935, to John and Mabel King. She married Herschel L. Martin, Sr. of Amarillo, TX on December 10, 1951.

Delores was a retired registered nurse and a loving grandmother. She loved painting, ceramics, and quilting, winning many ribbons at the Tri-State County Fair. She also loved crafting and dancing. Delores traveled for many years after her retirement. She is deeply loved and will be missed. She is now resting in Peace in the Kingdom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Patsy Ullman; brother, Dempsey King; and granddaughter, Sabrina Pedersen.

Delores is survived by her husband, Herschel; four children, Herschel L. Martin, Jr. (Janie Martin), of Rockport, TX, Pamela F. Sienko (Ray Sienko), of Cordova, TN, Joyce C. Moore (Freddy Moore), of Amarillo, TX, and Bryant C. Martin (Michelle Martin), of Flower Mound, TX; three sisters, Helen D’Antoni, Joyce Goblirsch, and Loretta King; ten grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

  2. Rest in peace great grandma. I love you and will always remember the good times we had and the inspiration you gave me with sewing. And always making me stop go out side and take in life. I love you so much and I will miss you for the rest of my life. May we meet again.

  6. Delores was a wonderful lady. She was beautiful inside and out. Loved her. She will surely be missed by her sweet husband, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren , and friends. Prayers for her family and friends. Mothered will be no more suffering for her. She has definitely gone HOME to a beautiful place.
