Darrell Scott Green, 58, of Amarillo,TX died Friday, December 13, 2019.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd.

Darrell was born on October 9, 1961 in Amarillo to Austin and Lelia Green.  He graduated from Caprock high school where he was in wrestling.  In high school, he was also a cheerleader and had many friends both from school and work as well.  He went on to attend college and had worked for many years as a paint contractor.  He lived in California and enjoyed the beach for many years as well as Colorado near Aspen.  He loved the mountains.

He is survived by a daughter, Angel Green; a son, Scottie Green; his mother, Lelia Green; his father, Austin Green; two brothers, Alan Green and Mark Green; a sister, Lisa Valdez; and a granddaughter.

  2. Saddened to learn of the passing of a fantastic person and high school friend. Darrell was tough as nails but always had a smile on his face. He was generous with his friendship and laughter. He will be missed by many people. Rest in peace my brother.

My heart and prayers go out to the family.Darrell was my first boyfriend in Jr.High and my first heartache but such a great man. His sense of humor hadn’t changed a bit after all these years.
