Craig "Asher" Nunn – April 20, 2011


Craig “Asher” Nunn, 24, of Amarillo passed from this world on Wednesday, April 20, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.  Burial will be in Llano East Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Ash was born on July 19, 1986, and grew up in Amarillo.  He attended Avondale Elementary, Sam Houston Middle School and Tascosa High School.  Anyone who knew Ash knew that he had a good, caring heart. His size and strength were often loaned out to help a friend.  He loved his family and he never left his little brothers without telling them he loved them.  And he always made sure to give his dad a huge hug every time he saw him.
He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Shirley Mayfield and Elrain Wear.
He is survived by his dad and stepmom, Tommy and Sherrie Nunn; his girlfriend, Amy Pruitt; his mother, Tammy Campfield of Everton, AR; his brothers and sister, Tory, Thomas, Tyler, Eric, Greg and Cheyane; grandparents, Clyde and Helen Nunn of Amarillo and Glendon Wear of Perryton; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family has asked that donations be made to the High Plains Food Bank, P.O. Box 31803, Amarillo, TX 79120 in honor of Asher.
The family will receive friends for visitation from 6-7pm on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the funeral home.

  1. Was so sorry to hear the tragic death of Asher.I babysat Asher & Tory back in 1992 for awhile when I lived at 3403 Mockingbird Lane there in Amarillo. They were such sweet little boys, and a joy to have around. I recently was back in Amarillo for a visit with Jamie & Tracy Young, from May 17th through June 5th. 2011. And cried when Jamie told me the news of Ashers passing. Our prayers go out to your family. With all of our love, the family of, June, Garrett, Van, & Angela Eno.
