Clovis N. West-March 28, 2011

Clovis N. West, 78, of Amarillo, died on Monday, March 28, 2011.
Services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2011 at the Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. with Reverend Jim Powell, retired Baptist pastor from Pampa, officiating.  Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors.
Mr. West was born on June 7, 1932 in Fay, Oklahoma to Glen and Erna Mae West.  He was raised in Amarillo and was plant manager for thirty-two years at Panhandle Concrete, retiring in 1991.  After retirement he moved to Clarendon for twenty years before returning to Amarillo.
Mr. West married the love of his life, Billie Faye Murphy on August 22, 1964 in Amarillo.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Glen Michael West, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife, Billie West of Amarillo; four sons, Barry McCollum West and wife Gayle of Amarillo, Bruce McCollum West of Amarillo, Skeeter West and wife Mirtha of Weston, Florida, Ronnie Stevens and wife Margo of Las Vegas, Nevada; two daughters, Becky Sinks of Canyon and Judy Kitchens and husband Eddie of Sunray; two sisters, Elizabeth Mable More of St. Clair, Minnesota and Jullie Anna Foster and husband Charles of Anchorage, Alaska; eleven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and his special angel, Dawn Romines of Amarillo.
The family would like to give special thanks for the love and care of the nurses and staff of Canyon Healthcare.  The family would also like to give special thanks for the support and compassion to the BSA-MICU nurse, Yolisma Rivero and the student nurse from Amarillo College.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 31, 2011 at the funeral home.
