Clifton “Whitey” Housman, Jr., 85 of Amarillo, died Saturday, January 3, 2015.Housman Obit Photo
Private graveside services will be in Llano East Cemetery with Jason Huntington officiating.  Military rites are by DAV Chapter 26.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd, Amarillo, Texas.
Mr. Housman was born March 11, 1929 in Des Moines, Iowa to Mildred and Clifton Housman.  He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II.  He had worked for Burlington Northern Railroad as an engineer and conductor for over 30 plus years.
He loved to play golf and was such a fun and loving person to be around.
He was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Mr. Housman was preceded in death by his wife, Genie Housman.
He is survived by his daughter, Traci and husband Clark Pylant of Amarillo and his grandson, Gunnar Pylant.
The family suggests memorials to W. T. Athletics, 2501 4th Avenue, Canyon, TX 79016.
