Clifton "Cliff" Lowe – April 2, 2012


Clifton “Cliff” Lowe, 78, of Amarillo, died Monday, April 2, 2012.
Celebration of life services will be at 4:00 p.m., Friday, April 6, 2012 in Arena of Life Cowboy Church.  Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Lowe was born August 27, 1933 in Hale County to Ella and Lewis Lowe.  They moved to Amarillo in 1950.  He served honorably in the Army during the Korean Conflict.  Mr. Lowe worked in civil service at the Amarillo Air Force Base.  He also worked at the Amarillo Livestock Auction and was co-owner of the well-known Cliff’s Place.  He was a cowboy, loved horse racing, dancing, entertaining and life.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Tony Lowe LaRoche; and a sister, Thelma Couch; and long time companion, Shelly Patton.
Survivors include a daughter, Kimary Mason Hanks and husband Kelly; a granddaughter, Mandy Mason; great-granddaugther, Griffon Mason; a sister, Jerre G. Mitchell; two brothers, Melvin and Bobby Lowe; numerous nephews and nieces and a multitude of friends.
The family extends special thanks to BSA Hospice and to honorary granddaughter and loving caregiver, Shara Hulin.
