Clifford “Cliff” Wayne Richards, 77 of Amarillo, TX passed away on November 8, 2020.

Cliff was born January 16, 1943 to John and Annie Richards, in Spur, Texas.  He married Barbara June Wood, December 12, 1960.  They resided mostly in the Lubbock area and in the Amarillo area where “Cliff” worked as a roofing contractor.  Cliff was always the life of the party, he had the best jokes and could make his own dance floor no matter where he was.  He had a work ethic that couldn’t be matched.  He was a very skilled roofer/carpenter.  His work was highly sought after. He had a beautiful singing voice and knew the words to every Merle Haggard song ever written and would sing whatever song matched his mood at the moment, tapping his foot to the imaginary beat.  He had a mean poker game and taught every kid he came in contact with how to play solitaire the RIGHT WAY, and could play it in his sleep.

Cliff is survived by 2 sons, Clifford Wayne Richards II and wife, Kim and Robert Richards.  One granddaughter, Lacey Kunz and husband, Tyler.  Step grandchildren he considered just grandchildren:  Rocky Wright and wife Chanelle, Tracie Bailey and Ryan Frazier.  Great Grandchildren: Laura Stahl, Shannon Stahl, Parker Kunz, Hagan Wright, Chloe Allen, Kayden Delgado, Lico Delgado, Samuel Delgado, Brooklyn Longest and Caydee Frazier.  Great, great granddaughter, Rylee Moore. Three brothers, Donald Richards, Lonnie Richards and Ronnie Richards and one sister, Wilma Key.

Cliff was preceded in death by the love of his life, Barbara, a son, Shane Richards, his parents, 2 brothers, Billy Richards and Bud Richards and one sister, Laverne Jones.

A private memorial will be scheduled at a later date.

I always promised I would be there in the end. I will miss this man forever and always. Wayne you got my number it has never changed. Call if you need me. May God always know his heart as I have.
