Cleta Wycille Miller, 75, of Amarillo passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Central Church of Christ chapel located at 1401 S. Monroe with Allan Stanglin officiating. Private burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Cleta was born September 12, 1936 in Lakeview, TX to Harley and Inez Phillips. She was a loving mother, gammer and friend to all. She loved gardening and treasured her roses which colored her backyard. As a talented artist she touched the lives of many through her paintings. She grew up in Pleasant Valley where she attended elementary school and Horace Mann.
Cleta won many awards for her artistic talent including a national contest in 5th grade for Milton Bradley. Her entries into the Tri-State Fair also won her many ribbons.
She retired from A to Z Tire in 2002 where she was a bookkeeper for more than 30 years. She will be deeply missed by family and friends. Gone, but never forgotten.
Cleta was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Phillips, a brother Terry Edward Phillips and a son Ronnie Wayne Davis.
Survivors include a son Tommy Miller and two grandchildren, McKenna and McKaden Miller, loved cousin Craig Allen and wife Susan, all of Amarillo and a sister-in-law Faye Phillips of Madisonville, KY.
