Charles William “Chuck” Clarke, 68, of Amarillo, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 1, 2012 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Rev. James Wallace, pastor of St. Luke Presbyterian Church. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Born to Harold and Clairene Brott Clarke on April 4, 1943 in Muskegeon, Michigan. Mr. Clarke served in the Air Force from 1960 until 1967 and was honorably discharged. He married Sandra A. Smith on Oct. 24, 2003 in Colorado Springs, CO. He owned Eastridge Liquor Store and then worked for CutRate Liquor. Mr. Clarke was a member of Moose Lodge 763 of Wyoming, Michigan, American Legion Post 54, Elks Lodge 923, a lifetime member of VFW Post 1475, and the DAV.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Rick Debri in May 2010.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy Clarke, of the home; a brother, Sherwyn Clarke and wife Sue of Grand Rapids, Michigan; three sisters, Fran Henderson and husband Wayne of Hudsonville, Michigan, Kathy Hollman and Lori Greenleaf both of Michigan; three daughters, Jennifer Mitchell and husband Mitch, Rhonda and Raylene Rikal, both of Amarillo; two grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and his very special four-legged babies, Lit Bit, Shiela and Buddie.
The family thanks the nurses at BSA for the kindness they showed to Chuck and the family.
The family will received friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012 at the funeral home.
