Carolyn Marie Rainey, 80, of Amarillo, TX died Thursday, November 21, 2019.
Services will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, November 25, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd., with Pastor Bob Miller officiating. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M., Monday, November 25, 2019 at the Bovina Cemetery, with Pastor Brett Hoyle officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, Amarillo.
She was born on February 26, 1939 in Friona, Texas, to A.D. and Lucille Stowers. She attended Friona High School. She married Cloys Stanberry and they had four children. He died in 1968. Carolyn then married Joe Bob Bralley who helped her raise her children. Carolyn and Terry were married on December 28, 2006, after Terry nursed her following her heart surgery. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed going to WT football games with Terry and was a big Houston Texans fan. She loved to work with crafts and take care of her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gaylord Stowers; and her first husband, Cloys Stanberry.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Rainey; daughters, Debbie Madrid and husband Joseph, and Kay Saunders and husband Joe; sons, Terry Stanberry and wife Becky, and Robbie Stanberry and wife Jesenia; brother, Larry Stowers and wife Karen; sisters, Joyce Read and Diane Talley and husband John; four granddaughters; six grandsons; and two great-granddaughters
The family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. – 5:30 P.M., Sunday, November 24, 2019, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
