  1. Carolyn was a gracious friend. Her wonderful laugh and ready wit brightened the spirits of those around her. We remember with gratitude the ways she reached out to us when our mothers were battling their own health issues. And, through the years, we were privileged to witness how she put her faith and strength of character into daily action. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Billy and her extended family.

  2. We will be grateful forever to Carolyn and Billy for introducing our family to the wonders of Colorado. They opened their cabin and their hearts to us. They took us hiking in the mountains among the waterfalls, wildflowers and wildlife, which were like a dream to us Amarillo flatlanders.

Carolyn’s genuine concern for and kindness toward others was matched by her secret love of benign imaginative mischief, something that Billy provided in spades. Billy constantly delighted Carolyn and tickled her keen sense of humor. It was part of his total and unwavering devotion to her.

Sail on, bright angel who so beautifully graced our lives!

  3. Carolyn was a constant in my life as long as I can remember. I look up to her in many ways – especially her steadfastness and strength. Thanks for celebrating all the things over the years and for coming to all the community events ⭐️

  4. I have so many fond memories of time with Billy and Carolyn, including times together in Amarillo and Colorado. I will never forget a very snowy Seekers Christmas Eve potluck at our house. Billy and Carolyn brought her parents, Bishop and Mrs. Carelton, who were visiting Billy and Carolyn and couldn’t get home because of icy road conditions. After a very festive and lively evening, Billy and Carolyn piled the Carletons into their 4-wheel-drive jeep. When leaving, Billy gunned the engine and spun two complete circles on the icy road to Carolyn’s delight and her mother’s chagrin.

It has been an enormous privilege to know Carolyn and the strength and joy she showed despite a very long and difficult illness. I pray for comfort and peace for Billy and the entire family

  5. Two of Carolyn’s hallmarks were her eternal optimism and her strong faith. She could, and did, find the silver lining in every cloud. Her unwavering faith in God and his love, in spite of her personal war with cancer, inspired all who knew her.
