Bob R. Morris, 81, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012.
A memorial service will be at 3:00 p.m., Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, in Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with the Rev. Hal Rogers, pastor of Pleasant Valley Christian Church, and Ken Haney, Hospice Bereavement Coordinator, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Bob passed away in the comfort of his home and family.
Bob served his country in the Army as a Korean War veteran. In his careers he worked for General Motors as a factory rep, was an independent cross-country truck operator for several trucking firms, and owned and operated several Dairy Queens throughout West Texas. In his preretirement years he worked for two local nursing homes.
Survivors include his loving wife, Earline, of 42 years of marriage; two sons, Dean and Mark; three daughters, Janie Gould, Patty Willingham and Melody Trammell; a sister, Mary Dean Bales; ten grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Interim Hospice, 1901 Medi-Park Dr., Ste. 1055, Amarillo, TX 79106.
