Billy Wiegand, 85, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 6, 2012.
Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2012 at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel with Rev. Greg Kinch of Southlawn Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2800 Paramount Blvd.
Mr. Wiegand was born August 17, 1926 in Logan, NM to Emil and Jewel Wiegand. He had a 55-year career as a driver for Continental Panhandle Trailways being awarded national driver of the year 1991. Mr. Wiegand was a member of Southlawn Baptist Church. He was looking forward to the birth of his 10th great-grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Bonnie Wiegand of Wichita, KS, two sons, Dan Wiegand and wife Farrel of Wichita, KS and Bill Wiegand and wife Debbie of Imperial, PA; four granddaughters, Dorothy, Dana, Monica and Ashlea; and nine great-grandchildren, Johna, Hunter, Philip, T. J., Bayleigh, Ashton, Kendal, Landry and Tyler.
